Amdavadi : Gujarati snack house

After a very tiring day of travel and work on diwali day, I decided to treat my self with a good dinner… After 30 min of research on the  Internet I choose this place Amadavati because it was very close to the place I was staying in.. and also was featured for best thali..

This place is on north bong road T Nagar… The closest land mark known to me  is Residnecy towers. Initially it’s was little difficult for me to find out this place, since the Google location was acutely it helped me a lot.

This place serves veg Food and also caters to Jain food.
As I entered this place, I totally loved the place. A very homely and peaceful ambience with good interiors which included some good photographs showing cluture of Gujarat.  I came to conclusion that it was perfect place I chose to have my diwali dinner…

For my surprise I was all alone at the restaurant. Then I consoled my self telling some people aren’t aware of this place , most of them are busy celebrating diwali festival.

Since I was all alone I could not order any starter , I just ordered set thali. They gave me a option to choose from butter milk or lime juice… I choose butter milk&  between puri and chapati I chose Puri

They first served butter milk… it was good tasted well.. everything was perfect. I rather say only thing I liked here was the butter milk..

Then came my thali.. The presentation was not great. It was not something expected on the festival day. Ignoring the presentation I started my food. Everything was cold.. Including the puri too . They haven’t even though of reheating atleast before serving the food..

The PAv looked good, but the first bite was extreamly bad.. I left the Pav there moving to sabudana vada had oil dropping from it.  Overall I could eat only the puri, rice and dal. Nothing else was good.

I strongly recommend not to visit this place atleast for those thali. Not worth paying Rs400/- for this.

Also when I went through their menu. It did not have great options for Gujarati dishes.
